FALLEN ANGEL

The steps firm, she walketh in a brilliant hue
of rainbows and starry eyes; her wings mantling proudly,
she tip-toes down the aisle. The clarions of silence queue,
the one despised to earth, the hymning harps mellowing fervently.
"thou art deceased, thou art wronged" bellowed the unflinching firmament.
A condemned sojourn to last forever, her journey through the aery gloom
Erroneous there to wander, and forlorn thou grieve and as a serpent
seeketh retribution, the fires of profanity, the zeal to doom.
Say goddess, let thine voice divine enthrall the heart of mine,
and thy venom be the potion of eternity;dark wasteful wild,
thine surging auguring precious drops be fermented to wine.
Entoxicate me, elude me, O Fallen Angel tempt me as a bohemian child.
Thou art Ethereal, quintessence pure, the desire of every plebeian.
Nothing is right, nothing is wrong, a mere vulgar opinion.
